Technology enhanced learning in Medical Education: What’s new, what’s useful, & some important considerations

"Hello. Thank you for attending the final day Pecha Kucha session on the closing day of AMEE 2016.

The purpose of this blog is to 1) host an embedded Padlet wall below (as a space for online discussion and sharing on this topic); 2) to function as a website to share the presentation slides for the Pecha Kucha session on this topic, on Wednesday morning, 31 August 2016, on the closing day of AMEE 2016 (the blackboard theme slides with chalk writing below); and 3) to share some early online searches including links from an early preliminary online exploration of this topic (the green tiles with associated hyperlinks at the bottom of this webpage).

May I invite AMEE participants to share their thoughts on the topic of this Pecha Kucha session "Technology enhanced learning in Medical Education: What’s new, what’s useful, & some important considerations" on the Padlet wall below, either directly on the embedded Padlet wall, or by using the Padlet link immediately below the embedded Padlet wall. Padlet is an online writing and posting surface, and you are able to write and/or upload a document/link by clicking on the red circled + icon on the bottom right of the Padlet wall. I have organised the Padlet wall so that the latest post is always on the top. You can continue to write/edit/delete your post as long as you use the same computer/mobile device. The Padlet wall is freely accessible online (but not searchable). As you write your reflection on this topic, please include your first name/initials and let us know where you are from.

(As you write and post on the Padlet wall, please be mindful that similar to this presentation blog, content on the Padlet wall is viewable on the internet. We remind participants to be professional, and both follow and respect confidentiality, privacy and intellectual property best practices and guidelines).

The first post on the Padlet wall below is an early outline of the Pecha Kucha presentation."

Post AMEE 2016:

"This is clearly a very rapidly developing and evolving area, often with new announcements of product as well as software and platform releases made in the media, with early adopters getting access to try out, develop prototypes, and evaluate these early efforts much much earlier that formal reports can be made in conferences or online journal papers.

The interactive Padlet wall below, which is an open access writing and posting surface has been embedded within this presentation website, and can be one place for new developments to be "posted", and preliminary discussions made online, before more formal evidence and argument based narratives and presentations are articulated."
